Fall is the perfect time of year. The air is crisp, the leaves change colors, cozy sweaters are a staple, and the holidays are around the corner. As our surroundings change, we also begin to notice that the colors and trends in makeup change as well. Below is a list of a few key trends that every woman should try this Fall!
Berry Colored Lips: Adding a rich, ripe, bold lip creates a statement. It’s fun, sexy, playful, yet powerful and a bit mysterious. The beauty is that there is no one “berry” color, it varies in all shades making it one of the most versatile lip hues out there. You can build up the color to be as thick and opaque as you’d like or using a sheer lip stain for a more subtle look.
Metallic Touches: This is a perfect way to add some glam to your look. Depending on what look you are going for you can use a powder, creme/gel shadow or metallic eye liner. If you are just trying this trend out, we suggest dabbing a bit of powder shadow in the corner of your eyes for an glitzy look that will make your eyes pop. We are loving gold, bronze, copper, and silver hues.
Bold Colors: Bright colors are all the rave this season and there are so many different variations to try. You can play it safe and use a bit of a translucent color or create a more dramatic look by using a bold colored shadow or eyeliner. Jewel tones look great on most skin tones but if you want to be different, try a highly pigmented colored shadow.
Full Brows: This is a situation where more is more. Well groomed, bold brows have the ability to frame your face and emphasize your features. Whatever you do, don’t over-tweeze. Tame those few stray brows, fill it when necessary and voila, your new full brows will give your face a more symmetrical appearance.
Long lashes: Doll-like, lush lashes are definitely in this season. Play up your natural lashes by making them appear thicker and longer by using a lash plumping mascara or for a more full effect use one that has a fiber-based lash enhancer. For the ultimate lash experience you can add some falsies (either the strip or individual, whichever you prefer).
Radiant Skin: The key to getting radiant skin is to minimize the imperfections, pores, fine lines, etc. on your face aka using the right products. Once you have applied your moisturizer and sunscreen, we suggest using a tinted moisturizer or BB cream to give you that flawless coverage. The last step to making your skin really glow is to use a highlighter or illuminator and apply it to the tops of your cheekbones, your brow bone, and right in the center of your cupids bow. The highlighter reflects the light and will help give your skin a gorgeous glow.
Barely there makeup: This neutral makeup trend isn’t plain or boring, it is actually quite the opposite. By using highlighting and contouring, you give your face a more sculpted, defined appearance which is quite beautiful and sexy. We like to top this look off by adding a nude lip or lip gloss.
