During these winter months, the skin on your face definitely pays a price. It is not uncommon to overhear women talking about how their face doesn’t look and feel as moist or as dewey (without adding a ton of makeup) as it normally does.
Well, we decided to share our go-to trick whenever our skin needs a quick boost. First and foremost, if you are not drinking enough water or eating properly, chances are any amount of lotion isn’t going to help. However, if you’ve been drinking a ton of water and eating well, we’ve got a little trick that will hopefully help you out.
We’d like to preface this by saying we can’t be for sure that it works for absolutely everyone, but we have seen great results on oily/combination and dry skin. It’s simple – super simple and dates back a couple decades (our grandma’s used this!). Buy a tin of Nivea cream (found here), and slather it on. That’s it. This $0.92 tin has made a huge difference to our skin in the winter months.
How we use it: About 20-30 minutes prior to going to bed, cover your face with a thin to medium layer of cream and just let as much of it absorb into your skin. Obviously we don’t want you to go to bed with all that cream on your face, so right before bed, wipe the excess off and still keep a thin layer on. When you wake up, your skin will feel refreshed and dewey.
We suggest doing this 1-2 times a week during dry months or whenever you feel like your skin needs a little jolt of moisture.
