Let me just start off by saying that I am crazy about skincare. I am obsessed with anything that prevents wrinkles, makes my skin feel hydrated, and squeaky clean – and it doesn’t hurt if it smells yummy too! There is something so exciting about trying something new and wondering if it will become my new favorite product. I am a product junkie and I am not afraid to admit it. In fact, if there is a new product I almost feel like I have to try it. Crazy, maybe. Will I change? Nope!
Anyways, during the winter I focused on using tons of oils as my skin basically felt like alligator skin – yuck I know. I decided to focus (even more than normal) on my skincare routine since I felt like it was suffering. Aside from trying to drink as much water and green tea as possible, I focused on eating more fruits and veggies, and trying a few new products. Below is a nighttime routine that I have found to be successful in keeping my skin fresh, hydrated, and bright for Spring. Keep in mind I have normal/dry skin/sensitive skin – what works for me may not work for everyone!
Below is my routine:
Tone – I use the First Aid Beauty Radiance Pads. These are sensitive enough to use fairly frequently (I use them maybe 3-4 times a week) without over drying my skin.
Serum – This Lancome Genifique Serum has been a long time staple. Every time I try a new serum I somehow come back to this one – it just works. I 100% see results when using it and my skin is brighter, smoother, fine lines are reduced and just overall more youthful! LOVE!
Eye Cream – At nights I use this Lancome eye cream. For the longest time I only had one eye cream that I used both morning and night but I decided to try something a little heavier at nights and I am loving the benefits. The skin under my eyes feel hydrated and I feel like I look a little more alive.
Night Cream – Again, another great product from Lancome. Loving this High Resolution Night Refill-3x. As expected, this night cream is pretty thick but my dry skin absolutely loves it. I wake up hydrated and feeling great!
Face Masks – I usually do a face mask twice a week. While I have a few in rotation, I am usually drawn to the GLAMGLOW THIRSTYMUD Hydrating Treatment (I leave it overnight) and the First Aid Beauty Oatmeal Mask.
Exfoliate – I do this about twice a week as well. I usually use my Clarisonic with one of my face cleansers or an exfoliating scrub. Again, I try not to use anything too harsh because my skin has been pretty sensitive lately.
While I love my current skincare routine, I am always looking for new recommendations and I would love to hear yours!
