If you haven’t gathered by now, I love this time of the year. I love adding pops of color as well as soft pastels to my look. This is a time where I ditch as many powder products as possible because there is nothing cute about looking caky (obviously not everything because lets be honest, I would die without my under eye brightening powder)!
Below are a few tips that can help you make the switch from a more matte to a fresh dewey look!
Foundation – from Matte to Dewy – look for words such as luminous, liquid, basically anything that isn’t matte or powder.
Bronzer/Blush – Powder to cream or liquid
Hues – While some people still wear a ton of browns or dark vampy colors, I tend to steer towards more mauve, corals, and pink colors. The brighter the better!
Eyeliner – Using a brown eyeliner instead of jet black will soften your face – I love this for the daytime look!
Mascara – This is waterproof mascara season! Although I hate using waterproof mascara (it’s so hard to get off!), it really is a must for minimizing any smudge! This time of year is when I notice the most fallout and smudge under my eyes and it drives me nuts. My problems were solved upon discovered waterproof mascara.
What other beauty swaps do you make during this season?
