Baby hairs. Can we talk about them for a second? After having my son a little over a year ago, my baby hair situation is ridiculously out of control. Seriously OUT OF CONTROL. Whether my hair is up or down, they are noticeable – the stand straight up, go sideways, they basically have a mind of their own. I started doing some research but I couldn’t find anything that I thought was worth trying. I went to several beauty stores asking for some help but they kept giving me something that was either too strong, sticky, or just didn’t work. I have very find hair so anything I use has to be light. By no means am I asking for perfection and my baby hairs to suddenly get their act together, but I just needed a little help.
While shopping at Sephora (surprise, surprise), I decided to see if they have something that could help. The lady who worked there said that I should try Sumotech by Bumble and Bumble – a lightweight pomade. I was a little skeptical because nothing had worked so far but I asked for a sample and went on my way.
First impression: smells like heaven. I was blown away by how inviting and amazing it smelled.. seriously! The first time I tried it I was in the car and just applied it directly on my hair… and I wasn’t impressed. I decided to keep playing around with it and eventually got the hang of it.
How I use it: I put a little on my fingertips and rub my hands together to get the product warmed up. I then gently apply it to my baby hairs while my hair is down and eventually they begin to look a bit more tame. A little bit goes a really long way so keep that in mind (the amount on m fingers is the amount I use).
Overall, I loved my sample so much I made the investment. And I say investment because it was a little pricey – $29. I was a little hesitant to spend that much on a pomade but honestly it has helped my unruly baby hair situation and I have been using it to give my hair a little more texture overall.
